Yay!

Even though I’m home sick with a cold, I did manage to get something useful done today.  I wrote a check and officially made myself credit-card debt free!  It feels quite good.

Of course I still have school debt, but that’s different.  At least the interest rates on my student loans is more reasonable and I’m comfortable paying it off over a much longer time frame.  The automatic debiting of my checking account is also nice, so I never have to worry about missing a payment and getting in trouble with the feds.

Ze Nielsen

I was watching some older Ze Frank, and I noticed that in a post from last August, he had this Norm Neilsen poster on the wall behind him to his right.

Do you suppose Ze likes magic?  I wouldn’t be surprised.  He’s an eclectic kind of guy.
Nielsen, by the way, is a fantastic magician.  His violin vanish alone is incredible, from any angle.

Torchwood

The Doctor Who spin-off, Torchwood, is my new favorite show.  Too bad it’s not on american tv, and I doubt if it will be any time soon.  If you want to see it, you’ll have to be “resourceful.”  Either that or buy a slingbox and make a friend in the UK.  Either way you do it, you’ll no doubt be breaking some law, somewhere.

It’s ridiculous that in this day and age, every TV show ever made, anywhere, isn’t immediately available for purchase online.  I want the BBC to sign a deal with iTunes.  I’d be more than happy to pay for new episodes of Doctor Who and other great BBC shows.
