I picked up a 22″ LCD monitor for my mac mini this weekend. It’s so great. I had way too much fun setting up Front Row on my G4 mini last night. It totally works (albeit a little choppily in some spots). I’m surprised that Front Row will play anything that quicktime will, but yet Apple didn’t let the Apple TV play all those formats. I’ll stick with Front Row.

Michael Emerson is brilliant
This week’s Lost was perhaps my favorite of the season so far, and maybe even the series. We finally see how Locke ended up in a wheelchair, and the scenes with Michael Emerson as Ben Linus are just amazing. He’s the best thing to happen to that show since it premiered. A friend of mine (who’s done theater with Emerson) told me he started as an illustrator. I’d love to see some of his work, because if he’s even half as good at that as he is at acting… Well, that would be impressive. He’s just incredible.

We Were Already Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
The new Modest Mouse is excellent. I’ve really barely started it, but it’s already won me over. Their last one was great, so it’s good to see them continuing their good track record.
You should but it.

I love Gmail, and here’s another reason you should too…
Check out this link to see why gmail rules. Also, IMified totally works, and I’m going to start using it. We still don’t have those flying cars, but this isn’t bad for the future…

I’m just testing IMified
I’m just trying out IMified. If this works, it’s pretty darn cool… Oh, and I’m also importing video at work, so I’m not slacking, at least not compleely…
One thing that is unfortunate is that my phone doesn’t have all of the characters I really need to be able to use IMified to it’s fullest. Namely, | > and < are missing. I could really use those…

The Question of Happiness
I just finished reading Tal Ben-Shahar’s The Question of Happiness this afternoon. It was a short but good read. I saw him lecture at the Museum of Science last fall, and it was his lecture that sparked my interest in Positive Psychology. I’ve also read Mihály CsÃkszentmihályi’s FLOW, and I’m in the middle of reading Finding Flow. I’d highly recommend any of these books to anyone interested in finding more satisfaction in their everyday lives.

Mozy.com, for all your backup needs…
I’m trying out the Mac client beta for Mozy, which is an online backup provider, and so far I’m really impressed. As soon as it’s out of beta, I’m definitely signing up for the unlimited data plan. It’s so amazingly cheap, it blows my mind…
